Assoc. Prof. Halit Nahit Şendur, MD
An internationally recognized expert in interventional radiology and ultrasonography, working with a patient-centered, evidence-based and technology-driven approach.

Dr. Halit Nahit Şendur graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2006, following his education at Ankara Science High School. He completed his residency at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiology, earning the title of Radiology Specialist in 2011. The same year, he undertook an observership at Cleveland Clinic, one of the leading hospitals in the United States.
He joined Gazi University as a faculty member in 2017 and was granted the title of Associate Professor in 2021. Having begun his academic career in breast radiology, Dr. Şendur subsequently focused his work on ultrasound imaging and non-vascular interventional radiology.
He has served as lead author and co-investigator in numerous international publications, and has peer-reviewed more than 200 manuscripts for respected international radiology journals — recognized in 2022 with the Certificate of Excellence in Reviewing by Clinical Imaging. Since 2024, he has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, the official journal of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM).
He has been an invited speaker at numerous national and international meetings, and as of 2026 has supervised five radiology residents’ specialty theses.
